Sunday 28 February to Friday 5 March: Writers Week (Adelaide Festival of Arts)

Event: Biennial festival event featuring writers from around the world including Sarah Dunant (UK), Tom Keneally (Australia) and Philip Jones (Adelaide).

Place: Pioneer Women’s Memorial Gardens, Adelaide (tents: free entry).

Wednesday 17 March, 12.30 to 2pm

Event: CPD session: Joint PHA (SA) visit with Australian Society of Archivists to talk by Dr Philip Jones on the ethnographic collection at the South Australian Museum

Place: The Royal Society Rooms, South Australian Museum.

Note: members can bring lunch with them or have lunch at the SA Museum café beforehand.

Tuesday 4 May, 12.15 for 12.30pm to 2pm: Annual lunch hosted by History SA

Event: Margaret Anderson and staff of HistorySA will host lunch for PHA (SA) members. Discussion will focus on plans for SA’s 175th anniversary.

Place: History SA boardroom, Torrens Parade Ground, Adelaide. (Parking will be available there).

Event: PHA (SA) CPD session: visit to Marden Senior College archives, with teacher/librarian, Sue Johnston.

Before it became Marden Senior College, this was the old Correspondence School. A recent significance assessment has been done and includes memorabilia from the old School of the Air at Port Augusta.

Place: The Library, Marden Senior College, Marden Road, Marden.

Note: members can bring their own lunch and eat it at the outside tables at the cafeteria or buy lunch at the cafeteria (tables inside) before or after the session. Located close to the city and accessible by bus and the Obahn. Further details, including map, to be provided.

The AGM will be preceded by a tour of Urrbrae House by PHA (SA) Treasurer, Yvonne Routledge.
Tour: 4. 30pm for 4.40pm
AGM: 5.30 pm start. Note: the new PHA (SA) SA 175 web site will be on show for viewing

The AGM will be followed by dinner at 7.00 pm at Lirra Lirra Café near Urrbrae House

The two-course meal for $45.00 per person includes main course, dessert, coffee, tea and chocolates. Guests can buy their own drinks.
