CONTRACTS

To assist members in drawing up a contract, our national body Professional Historians Australia has produced a Model Contract and Checklist for the sole use and benefit of Australia's various PHA members and their commissioning agents.

For information on the PHA Model Contract, PHA (SA) members should contact the Association via the contact details provided.

INSURANCE

PHA has also negotiated special insurance rates for professional historians who are members of the various state professional historian associations; these cover Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

SCALE OF FEES

Professional Historians Australia publishes a schedule of minimum recommended
rates for the non-permanent engagement of accredited professional historians. The
Scale of Fees document is updated annually immediately after the mid-year release
of CPI figures.

CODE OF ETHICS

All members of Professional Historians Associations undertake to abide by a code of ethics and professional standards. This code outlines the ethics to which all members are expected to subscribe and describes the standards of propriety,
integrity and competence expected in members’ dealings with clients, colleagues
and the community.
